TO H.Q. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hss C. to ORIGINAL RECEIVED JAN 10 1927 REF F.10. SPRING DRIVE WITH LARGER DRIVING SHAFT AND HAND STARTER WITHOUT FRICTION SLIPPER. X38044 X4056 X4550 We send herewith drawing LeC. 2359., shewing the above. We do not know what is the position exactly at the moment with regard to engines not fitted with a supercharger. From recent tests the .375 shaft appears to be satisfactory if the camshaft drives are made strong-er. We have however shewn a ½" shaft on the attached drawing, which appears to us to be the largest we can con-veniently get in without extensive alterations. We should be glad to have a blueprint of the arrangement of the present spring drive for the supercharger as we have only the original rough scheme here shewn on the LeC. drawing. We will then send through a larger shaft for this drive. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
