Dear Sirs:- INDIAN OFFICE CARS. Your Ref.-Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} /Ms4/FJ11.4.21. We thank you for your letter of the 11th with official order No.CX {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} 250. Regarding the grease we use, a sample of which I believe was sent to Mr.Platford's Department, we usually put on quite 2 lbs. on your cars. It is made up in tins taking a little over 2 lbs. and the price we charge to the trade is 2/6 a tin and to private owners 4/- a tin. We will send a tin of grease for each set of covers and think that you would probably find that this would be rather more than would be required for each job in which case you can either retain it or return it. When we do a Rolls Car we usually first of all thoroughly wipe the springs with a paraffin rag and then put on as much grease as the covers will properly retain. Incidentally we had an owner of one of your new cars calling here about 10 days ago complaining that his springs were squeaking and he had been recommended to come to us for Werco Covers. We did the job for him and judging from the present he gave our fitter we imagine he was very well pleased with at least the appearance of the job and not having heard from him since we conclude that the Werco Covers have done exactly what he expected them to do.
