WST 86117. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By/RD. Smaller Diameter Cables for SpectreCodename for Phantom III Chassis. Referring to your memo HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.4.6.34, this arises out of my objection to increasing the size of the conduits for carrying the increasing number of cables we are called upon to use today in the chassis wiring, and my request for a suggested list of smaller wires which would still satisfactorily deal with the currents to be carried, and which will enable us in some cases to reduce the diameter of the conduits. This proposal applies undoubtedly not only to the SpectreCodename for Phantom III but to all of our chassis, and i am glad to note that you are in agreement with the modified sizes proposed. We have already ordered suitable cable for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III, and we are now looking into the question of applying this to the next experimental Bentley.
