TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M23.11.23. c.c. to LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} c.c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re. SPARE WHEEL CARRIER. 20.HP. AND 40/50. X3683 X4085 We thank you for your BY/C12/H191123., and the enclosed L.F.396., and think that this should be tried, although the stiffener is not so good as originally schemed. Should it be found inadequate we can devise a more elaborate reinforcement. We believe that the wheel carriers on the Goshawk are liable to work loose on the frame, and suggest that 3/8" bolts be used in future so as to get a great friction load. This also applies to N.scheme 1409. - Carrier for Spare Wheel 40/50. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
