BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [crossed out] FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. to Dr. [crossed out] HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL. INDIA 3. CYLINDER BLOCK. X5050 [crossed out] X5070 X5230. We send herewith LeC. 2574. shewing the two bolter flange for the water pipe connection to the cylinder block on India 3. in place of the three bolter shewn on LeC. 2573. Would you kindly incorporate the two bolter design in your drawings. Regarding your telegram of even date concerning cylinder block and head, we wish to retain the exhaust jacket connection in the head for possible future requirements in connection with alternative forms of induction pipes. The cylinder head as telegraphed should [handwritten 'as' above, 'should' is lightly crossed out] therefore be to the original drawing LeC. 2566., but should have any minor alterations required to fit the induction pipe shewn on LeC. 2573.
