Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH

For the attention of Mr.Longley

Dear Sirs,

We may require a number of discs of a heat insulating material 1.000" dia. X .060" thick to fit between the end of clutch thrust springs and the pressure plate.

This applies to certain earlier 20/25 Rolls-Royce cars and the 3½ litre Bentley, in which the thrust springs are partly recessed into holes in the pressure plate, and we have found cases in which springs have become overheated as a result of excessive clutch slipping.

Would you please quote us per gross for suitable discs, and also kindly let us have a small sample of the material you would recommend.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
