Valve design to prevent a piston effect and issues with trapped air in the oil circulation.

We can see that air can be trapped in the valve chamber in the piston, and we propose to send you some suggestions as to how this can be reduced. If there is any circulation of oil with the reservoir, air is liable to be carried round with the circulation. Is it likely that anything of this kind is happening?
