To. Copy for files only V7962 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}11/KW. 27.9.34. Shelsley Wash - Bentley. Attached is a power curve of the engine usedfor Shelsley. We are sure that we can make a better cylinder head to this compression ratio but we had only one casting to play with and this rather cramped our style. We are however going through with a head which will embody the experience we have gained on these tests without any of the defects. The engine was run on a fuel which is definitely better than the 50/50 mixture with regard to the octane value and under these conditions was really remarkably smooth. It will tick over at 500 revs. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
