17th. April, 1939.

The Light Production Co.Ltd.,
60/66 Rochester Row,
LONDON.S.W.1.

For the attention of Mr. Brooks.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the future production pistons for our 4¼ litre Bentley.

You will now have this matter in hand in accordance with our Order No.89437 dated 4th. April, to cover 1900 pistons to our drawing EB.4740. This being identical with your drawing No.P.451.

Regarding rings, I was speaking to your London office today to make sure that the above mentioned pistons will be fitted with tin plated rings.

The matter was left, that if we hear nothing to the contrary, we may take it that the piston rings will be tinned, will you please confirm.

It will assist us in making up our test programmes if you can give approx. delivery dates for the following pistons at present on order.

P.461. (Split skirt).
P.451.A. (Parallel skirt).
EW.2115 (As P.461 but without bump).
EW.2170 (As P.461 but 3.250 dia. and .470 bump)

We realize the last mentioned has only just been instructed, and would add that we would like the above to be supplied with tin-plated rings.

Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}
