To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. c. to Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} c. to EH. [Crossed out handwritten text] X.3537/ E1/G27.8.19. X.3610.—20 H.P. OIL PUMP DRIVE. When dealing with the oil pump drive for the 20 H.P. engine ; it has been found necessary to carry the intermediate wheel and the camshaft driving gear of the wheelcase, together with the oil pump driving wheel on one stout shaft. This scheme is simpler and lighter than the drive as originally conceived. You will not now require the pivot for holding the intermediate gear, as given on scheme for the 20 H.P. wheelcase & gears.
