LUTON.

For the attention of Mr. Allen.

Dear Sirs,

Many thanks for your letter of the 27th. inst. and have noted your remarks with interest.

We have already incorporated a drain hole for the water pump but unfortunately our present design does not lend itself to the accommodation of a thrower.

We should however be very interested to try your latest type of bearing packed with the new grease and should be very glad if you would forward us three sets.

An official order will be forwarded in the course of a few days time.

As you remarked the results are very discouraging but we are quite prepared to do some further development of the job in the hopes of obtaining a satisfactory result.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
