received some of this material and suggest trying it. We are sending to Mr. Royce a sample. We think it is preferable to previous suggestions of fibre or brass packing.

We have/a a chassis fitted with a big covered body with split springs and no clips. We have also tried the effect on there of greasing the springs. We found that greasing the springs makes the biggest effect. The worst feature was rolling and swaying. We had the boards up in the back of the car so that we could watch the relative side movement of the springs. We found that the maximum side movement of the springs took place when going round a corner or making any sharp turns. We could notice that when the cat gave an uncomfortable sway, the frame went down .75" on one side and up .75" on the other side, making it 1.5" out of line.
