To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from EH. c. to RH.{R. Hollingworth} c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X.15 EH/LG18.9.19. 18th. Sept. 1919. With reference to Mr. Royce's memo H10/G27519., re Position of Tyre-Valves and Wheels. Mr. Flatford complains that all wheels that are being supplied now, the tyre valve comes opposite the stroke so that it is impossible to get off a cap or to get at the cap to blow up a tyre. We should be pleased if you will take this matter up strongly with Dunlops and get to know what they suggest we can do with the wheels they have supplied. EH.
