1020 RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}3/JH. 26th. January, 1940. Vandervell Products Ltd., Western Avenue, Park Royal, W.3. Dear Sirs, With reference to the big end bearings we have been using in your material. You have quoted 11/- per set of 6 bearings, if we use your standard thickness of material. We are trying various ways to cope with this problem, and the obvious question which comes to mind is, what would be the tool cost to standardise a peculiar thickness, that we might specify, and would this enable you to maintain your above quotation. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
