Re Magnetos(Re use of fibre in connection with the make and break)
With reference to the above and your sheet TH83/L2912 I take it that Kirby refers to the fibre bush used for the pivot of the make and break lever.
This we had some considerable trouble with in our early experience with the Bosch Magneto, and the matter was taken up with the makers to give more clearance to same.
The matter was also taken up by Mr Ellis [handwritten note: when he was making] doing tests with the magneto on the bench in which these bushes were all made free.
The climatic conditions in India, as we have already learned in the case of fibre bushes on the springs, appears to have a considerable effect on fibre.
I think it would be advisable if you would take the matter up with Mr Wormald so that he can arrange for Mr Ellis to go further unto this matter to see whether same have now sufficient clearance.
