Mailing. c. EFC. X.3398 --------- 1320. BY8-P13623. June 13/23. Wednesday. Messrs. Peto & Radford., 50 Grosvenor Gardens., LONDON. S.W.1. Dear Sirs., 40/50 CHASSIS. BATTERIES. In regard to the question of battery capacity on the 40/50 chassis, we realise that you have been urging, in common with our other suppliers, the need for a larger battery; as the Technical people at Derby are also of the impression that an increase in battery capacity would be advantageous we propose to put before our Management our recommendations in this connection. The Exide Company have definitely stated they feel it necessary to increase the capacity of the batteries in order to obtain better service over a longer period; we would therefore like to have your own recommendations in this connection, as we feel that possibly, even with the larger capacity that you are supplying us with, as compared with the Exide, you still feel that the allowance is on the small side for a car as large as our 40/50 chassis. contd. | ||
