LICENCE FOR STEEL REQUIRED FOR CHASSIS

We have now received information from The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd., giving the approximate allotment of steel for Period III, in reply to claims which we recently made.

The allocation made is 50% of our claim which was estimated quantities to cover experimental work and repairs.

If we require this steel to be delivered, it is now necessary for us to give precise details of every grade, size and type of steel required; also the description of the job for which the articles or material are required. In view of the present position it is our intention to cancel our claims of any steel for chassis but we would like to have your confirmation that this is correct.
