-7- X.3493 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}, & By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} E1/G18.5.20. Contd. Clutch.- Pressure Member. X.3525. This piece, owing to its deep recesses, was not considered by Mr. Royce to be practical as a stamping, and he wishes it to be converted to an aluminium casting. In connection with the subject of clutches generally Mr. Bailey is to look up particulars of the Delaunay Belleville clutch of the type fitted to the 1914 or 1915 chassis. Rear Axle Differential Pinion. X.3493. The teeth on these wheels were thought by Mr. Royce to appear weak, and he wishes the present wheels to be scrapped and some new ones made having teeth of greater angle of obliquity than 20°. Rear Axle Brake Anchorage Hub. X.3568. This part was thought by Mr. Royce to be on the heavy side, and he would like some move to be made to lighten it. Rear Spring Front Pivot. X.3527. Mr. Royce considers this part wants more heel on the edge of the bolt flange. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} R.R. 225A (100 T.)
