C. to BJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION. V3806 +4900

Herewith we send N. sch. 2423. shewing the position of the pump on the dash.

It will be seen that we have modified the standard Enots pumps, neither of those submitted to us being quite suit-able. It would appear to be almost impossible to get a sufficient pressure conveniently on the vertical one, and the horizontal one does not lend itself to getting on to the dash-board.

We have not however professed to redesign the pump, but have taken the same parts entirely with the exception of the body casting, which we suggest should allow the pump to be inclined. Would Derby please take this matter up with the makers of the system with a view to getting this pump constructed.

The details of the trunk oil pipes, etc, etc, will be more fully dealt with full scale.

We are sending you this system piecemeal on R's instructions as we complete the various components, and there-fore slight modifications to some of the proposals will probably have to be made from time to time.
