X.1402 RE BATTERIES Regarding batteries for our cars I am still of the opinion that a largerbattery is not needed and would not solve the problem. I feel sure that the benefit will be derived when we get a vibrator controlled dynamo capable of giving a big charge while the lights are on and when the battery is down. It is not a question of holding enough energy but a question of replacing the energy often and quickly enough, and also that the battery shall be capable of standing a long time without losing its charge, that is, we do not want a battery of greater capacity, but one of greater reliability and absence of leakage. We cannot agree to greater weight; actually U.S.A. are reducing theirs. MADE AT CROXLEY R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
