the damper, has been started with carefully bedded tungsten points. With the above we have, as stated, started the crucial experiment of Delco-Remy lever and point fitted to RR. contact breaker. This is also with tungsten points carefully bedded.

As yet, we cannot offer an explanation of the superior running of the Delco-Remy. We are of the opinion that it is considerably superior to the U.S.A. Bosch which we have also run for various tests on this series of experiments. We understand the U.S.A. Bosch is standard on the American chassis, and it appears to us that the use of the Delco-Remy would further improve that chassis.

We have to-day seen a Robert Bosch battery ignition set on a customer's car in the Repair Dept. This we are making the subject of a separate report, but it has been interesting to note that it has a non-metallic cam, presumably of continental bakelite material similar to our earlier rubbing block, together with a steel rubbing block.

P.S. Recently in connection with B T H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} aero magnetos we had a visit from a representative (technical) of that Co. and he said that after going everywhere for contact breaker springs, they finally got the best springs made for them by Messrs. Gillott, the pen people.
