To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from F.{Mr Friese}
C. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}

You will perhaps remember in December I brought up to Derby with me information concerning Ernst Flentje's shock absorbers and asked your opinion. You will remember you told me that the American Company used a shock absorber of proprietary design and might be interested, and that, therefore, we should recommend Flentje to send his papers to them.

Mr. Beaver has written back direct to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} stating as follows:- 'We are not fitting a shock absorber of proprietary design. We are fitting Rolls-Royce shock absorbers front and rear and have been for a considerable time past. I thought you might wish to have all members of your staff clear in respect to these details.'

We are sending you this information as it seems that the position regarding the shock absorbers is not generally known and that you may, therefore, care to issue a circular note to those concerned regarding this.

F.{Mr Friese}
