Wraith Chassis.

As there are now approximately 400 cars in service and most if not all design modifications rectified, I have made out charts of complaints from the Owner's Complaint sheets. From the charts it will be seen that the outstanding faults existing are:

(A) Engine top over-oiling.
(B) Delco Remy ignition.
(C) Petrol gauge and tank units.
(D) Carburetter troubles.
(E) Electrical failures.

Of these, a remedy has been found for (A) curing the top over-oiling.

In regard to (B), the Delco Remy fault has been chiefly our own manufacturing faults, and after these faults have been rectified, this type of ignition is not giving much trouble.

The sticking of the petrol tank unit has been more prevalent on the Continent, owing to the larger percentage of alcohol being used. The increased clearance now being given to the spindle bushes has not so far caused a re-current trouble.

Carburetter troubles have in the main been due to foreign matter in the petrol passages or in the jet orifice which has caused obstruction or flooding. It is difficult to discriminate where and how the foreign matter gets into the petrol system. It is not of a flaky nature as one would expect from the pipe lines, and we can only assume that it comes from the petrol and passes through the gauze. There have been definite cases of faulty workmanship which has been taken up with the makers.

Cont'd....
