OUR REF. CWW/GC. 20th February, 1940. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr. Robotham, Reverting to our conversation on Monday last I would like to point out that to carry on with the investigation required for B.5. it will be necessary for us to have the services of the following people here at Willesden:- Mr. Giles. £8. 0. 0. per week. Draughtsman. £5. 10. 0. per week. Junior Draughtsman. £4. 0. 0. per week. Planning & Specification Man. £6. 0. 0. per week. making a total of £1,222. 0. 0. per year. These men together with Mr. Green would be able to finalise all drawings, planning and costs etc. As explained to you this Company at the moment cannot afford to spend this amount of money on development work, and I should be extremely grateful if you will do as you suggest. In the hope that this project will materialise I have already planned an Office in which we can get a full sized drawing board. It will also be necessary for us to purchase 3 drawing tables, 4/5 filing cabinets and 2 desks, and should you agree this arrangement you can rest assured we shall obtain this furniture on the lowest possible terms. Yours very sincerely, for PARK, WARD & CO LTD., Works Director. | ||
