Arising out of our recent discussion concerning the trouble certain of our Customers are experiencing with K.L.G. Corundite Plugs, some examples you had having only run approximately 1,000 miles, we have taken up this matter with Major Carington, and attached is a copy of his report. It will be noted he will shortly be sending a modified form of plug, FLB/50.X, for our inspection, which Stores will hand to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC{R. Childs} on receipt. In this connection possibly Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC{R. Childs} can now let us have a preliminary report on Lodge's reply to these K.L.G. Corundite plugs, i.e. Lodge type "Sintox" 640/641 samples of which he has under observation. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} ENCLOSURE Nº 579 "JUSTSO" | ||
