control lever be retarded a notch or two. There is a host of interesting details that ought to receive mention, for every single item has been closely studied, and each does its appointed work in an exemplary manner. The controls on the steering wheel are an instance.

The body on the car tested is the standardised Park, Ward four-door four-light saloon, which, of course, is extremely well finished, and which has exceptionally comfortable seats.

Experience of this remarkable British car makes one realise afresh that it is not only sheer performance which counts—and the Bentley has that in full measure—but the manner of it.
