To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x41/Bw Hotel de France. Chateauroux. Indre. 13.12.33 I. B. IV. Re Radiator Shutters and Thermostat We find that the load wanted by the thermostat when fully extended is 5 lbs at the end of the lever attached to the radiator shutters, but it requires 85°C in the radiator to fully extend. At 75°C in the radiator it is only half open and is exerting a force of approx 3 lbs. Our trouble therefore is that the thermostat is not sensitive at the temperature we require for normal running.
