Re Radiator Shutters and Thermostat

We find that the load wanted by the thermostat when fully extended is 5 lbs at the end of the lever attached to the radiator shutters, but it requires 85°C in the radiator to fully extend. At 75°C in the radiator it is only half open and is exerting a force of approx 3 lbs. Our trouble therefore is that the thermostat is not sensitive at the temperature we require for normal running.
