X457 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG. 6th. Oct. 1925. Messrs. The Dunlop Rubber Co., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Healey. Development Dept. Thank you for the Michelin Paper which is very interesting. I will return it in a day or so when I have got a complete translation. I enclose two photographs of some of the results we have obtained on the drums. The benefit derived from having the side steering tube rigid in tension was not substantiated on the road. We find however that the tyres with the treads ground flat are undoubtedly better than with the treads ground to a peak. Michelins point out that a badly worn tyre has little tendency to wobble. These flat tyres have very little tread left over the course, so perhaps they come under that category. Yours faithfully, | ||
