X6129 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. From G.W.H. WST Hotel de France, Chateauroux, FRANCE. 13/11/31. 18.G.IV. RE. THE WATFORD SPEEDOMETER. The broken spindle we sent you from Paris, taken out of the Watford speedometer, operates both the total mileage recorder and the trip. From our examination of the broken spindle it appeared to have been strained and running out of truth from the beginning. We have temporarily fitted an A.T. speedometer obtained from the Paris Depot, but should very much like either a new instrument or a new spindle as soon as possible as the speedometer we are at present running is not 100%. Please note that the revs. must be 410 per minute. G.W.Hancock G.W.H. | ||
