Dear Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

Thanks for your note. Unfortunately I was unable to get across to see the race, but am looking forward to having a chat with somebody who was able to do so.

My brother has for the moment disappeared in the direction of Scotland and I do not expect to see him again for a fortnight at least, but as soon as he comes back I will ask him about the loan of the Railton Terraplane. I feel pretty certain however that he would be delighted to lend it to you for any period that you care to name, up to a week.

I do not know whether he may have told you that his "Stable", in addition to the 2.3 super-charged Bugatti, have recently acquired a supercharged Maserati and a 2.3 super-charged Alfa.

Apparently they were able to get hold of the 2.6 super-charged Alfa but quickly sold this again to some enthusiast and took his 2.3 litre super-charged in place of it.

If either the Maserati or the Alfa are of any interest to you I think they could be seen any day you like at Thompson and Taylor's Works. They were there in rather small pieces some ten days ago.

Yours Ever,

[Illegible Signature]

The Maserati had put one foot through the side of the crank-case.
