Dear Robotham,

Very many thanks for your note. I should like to get in touch with the Rover owner who is having trouble due to oil consumption in Spain. I can probably trace him from the car number, but if not I will ask you to give me more particulars.

There are several reasons other than pistons which can cause excessive oil consumption. I am hoping it may be one of these - if not we can certainly deal with the piston trouble if we can get the opportunity.

The 16-h.p. and the 20-h.p. have been slightly delayed due to the difficulty in getting the steering exactly how we should like it, but I think they are all straight ahead now and hope to have the 16-h.p. in production by September at the latest. The 20-h.p. I am not sure about yet.

Many thanks for your offer of assistance. If we run into trouble with oil temperatures we will certainly get into touch with you.

Yours sincerely,

S.B.Wilks
