Fitting time for week ending 1st. May 1937 - 31½ hours.

Due to unexpected delays the inclined alum head to LeC.5368 has been held up and we are therefore substituting the following programme.

Power and detonation on exhaust plug on deturbulated No. 2 head. | 1 day.
SHOP. Fit alum head to RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}315. |
Detonation with alum head and cooled exhaust valve | ½ day.
SHOP. Fit large valve block to Ex.18336 with solid exhaust valve and No.2 head. In the meantime the alum head should be modified to take a 1.850" valve to RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}317. |
Running in for new block. |
Power and detonation in standard valve timing | 2 days.
Power on E.O. 51°E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.C. T.D.C. |
SHOP. Fit alum head with large inlet valve on standard block Ex.17163, using cooled exhaust valve to SCT.55. |
