X1435 To - Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Lp. {Mr Lappin} Lp {Mr Lappin} 17/Av/CM28.2.29. With reference to your telegram asking for ten gallons of trimethyleneglycol, we have been into communication with the firm in Bristol who are supposed to have supplied this stuff to the R.A.C. We find that they do not now supply it, nor do they recommend it, but have available a special pure glycerine mixture, which is thoroughly recommended. I have, therefore, asked them to send you ten gallons by passenger train at once, and also five gallons to Gibson at Stag Lane for use in the D.H.9a. There would appear to be some doubt as to what the actual mixture is at Andover now and we are making enquiries into the matter. Lp. {Mr Lappin} | ||
