STANDARDISATION SHEETS FOR AERO ENGINES.

We are afraid that standardisation sheets for modifications to aero engines have been neglected.
The Expl: Dept: is partly responsible.
We recommend however that we do re-establish standardisation sheets for aero engine modifications, on a firm basis.
We consider that the standardisation sheets should be completed irrespective of the Air Minsitry's comments.
The question of getting the Air Ministry's sanction for modifications will continue to be BY's responsibility. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will also take the responsibility of whether any modifications which are instructed demand that the std. sheet shall be issued or that they are of such a minor character that he will issue the modification on his own responsibility.
The Expl: Dept: will issue the aero std. sheets in the same way as they do the chassis standardisation sheets.
