Dear Sirs,

In reply to your 'phone query regarding the 2 lots of springs ordered in accordance with our letter of the 31st. there is approximately .100 from being choc-a-bloc on the springs EW.1428 but the others, Exs.313 we do not know definitely.

You can soon check these up, however, from the following figures and would like your views as to whether with the space available we could improve on the design of this spring from a stress range point of view.

EW.1428.

The spring length in the valve closed position is 1.550 and the valve lift being .350, the length in the open position is therefore 1.200.

Exs.313.

The valve closed length is 1.625 and with the same .350 lift the valve open length is 1.275.

The maximum speed of the camshaft on the engine for which we require these springs is 2250 R.P.M. Will you please
