R.R. 235a (500 T) (S.D. 408. 26-4-17.) Bm. 2/156/13. BY/HBO5/DW.30/5/19. To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from BY/HBO. C. to EFC. C. to Mr. Hives. X. 2641. PUSH BUTTON SWITCH - SEC. 7270. Now that Mr. Royce has definitely decided to move the above Switch from the Instrument Board to the Dash Board, and in view of the large amount of castings being so poor they will not machine up and give a reasonable finish (Nickel) - the scrap I understand being in the neighbourhood of 75% - I would like to suggest the design be slightly modified to use Aluminium Die Castings. Attached herewith Arrangement Drawing of same G 5560. Perhaps you will consider the above worth mentioning at the Conference. BY/HBO. | ||
