X4617E c. EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} BY4/H. 12.5.25. BATTERIES FOR 40/50 HP. CAR. -------------------------- Referring to Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 8/NJ. 11.5.25. and the Chloride Company's letter of the 8th inst. we think in this matter the Chloride Company have the biggest responsibility and therefore, everything else being equal, I should be prepared to follow their lead in this particular case, rather than P. & R. {Sir Henry Royce} The facts of the case are that P & R. {Sir Henry Royce} are very keen to use burnt-up inter-cell connections. The Chloride Company, however, who have to carry a stock and maintain the Service stations, strongly favour our present type of bolted-up connection. In view of this fact, therefore, I have definitely decided to retain the bolted-up connection on this particular chassis, and leave it at that. I do not propose to discuss this question again unless the "Exide" Company themselves have some reason for discussing it with us. MADE AT CROXLEY BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
