Wraith Exhaust System.

Further to our memos. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wym. {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} 7/JH.16.9.38. and Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wym. {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} 8/JH.9.9.38. we now find that to entirely elliminate the whistle from the Wraith exhaust system the maximum number of 5/16" dia. holes that we can use in the centre pipe of the rear silencer is 30. At present there are 105.

We would like you therefore to issue instructions to production to only drill 30 holes equally spaced for the 2nd. hundred cars and onwards, and alter the drawings accordingly.
