- 2 - Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}6/WJ8.9.24. springs determines Firths to approach Woodheads with a view to an arrangement under which Firths would be allowed to fit Woodhead's clip, the negotiations will occupy some little time; therefore there seems to me to be only two alternatives:- (1) To request Woodheads to supply us a certain number of 43" front springs of the 12½% stiffer type, similar to those just delivered to Experimental Department. (2) To agree to Firths supplying us a certain number of 43" springs of the 25% stiffer type or the 12½% stiffer type fitted with their "A" type clip. I feel we ought to have a decision with regard to this matter forthwith if we are to avoid a break in output of 40/50 HP. chassis; this is my reason for troubling you. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} | ||
