To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Copy to Na.{Mr Nadin} C O P Y. R2/P 19.2.14. COPY. With reference to the fixing and shackle for the front end of the rear spring, this piece may look rather weak when applied, and it might be advisable to reinforce the frame near where this fixing is attached. In any case I should put large washers behind the bolts, and I propose that all our frame bolts that have much load to carry, which is likely to cause trouble, should be of a new standard hexagon thin head with a special washer..
