Dear Mr. Bowering,
Thanks for your letter of the 31st ult. which I have received on my return to the office this morning.
As regards Mr. Elliott's letter of 27th October, apparently we did have this and acknowledged it. I feel inclined to think, however, that the latest type float chamber will be an improvement on the scheme submitted to Mr. Elliott, as so far this later type float chamber is giving absolutely no trouble whatever. For that matter the original type did not, but I should like Mr. Elliott's opinion on both.
I note your remarks regarding pumps, and shall be interested to hear further from you in due course.
