Dear Sirs,
We thank you for your letter dated 6th instant, and for the further information you give in regard to the car test on our "400" G.M.Liners.
We must admit that we are not familiar with the details of your Brake layout on your test cars, and the information you now send is helpful in considering this matter.
It was not our intention, in making our comments on the adverse results given by our "400" G.M. on the road, to imply that they were due in any way to careless adjustment, but that the troubles originated as a result of the swelling of the lining. In other words, we put forward the explanation that the swelling of the linings has thrown the brakes out of balance. We will take particular care that the next graphited material we send does not show this defect.
