X.3066 - RE STANDARDISATION SHEETS

In answer to your enquiry BJ10/C&I30817, re standardisation sheets, none of the alterations represented by these sheets have been agreed to by the Air Board finally. We think that the object of these sheets should be that the various people mentioned should all agree to the alteration before such is finally submitted to the Air Board for their consent, and this is the purpose we have in view in sending the sheets for your signature.

It is true, that in some cases Mr. Bailey has written to the Air Board tentatively and been advised that the alterations will, no doubt, be agreed to. Examples of this are -

X.2886 - New Double Type Spring Drive.
X.2866B - Aluminium Induction Pipes.
X.2897 - Lightened Type Wireless Alternator Drive.
X.2942 - Telescopic Starting Handle Shaft.

(X.2909) I believe, that in the case of the New Lightened Camshaft Drive Mr. Bailey has not been able to so far obtain the Air Board's consent to this alteration, but in the majority of cases, however, the alteration has not, probably, so far, been taken up with the Air Board.
