DAILY REPORT.

Paulin Bentley II. - B-27-LE.

Montlhéry.

1st Test Run.

6.50 x 19 Tyres at 55 lbs/sq". Cut-out plate off. I.7/8 carbs. with air silencer complete and LM.8 needles. No fan. Air scoops at the sides of engine.

Best lap speed 171.150 KPH. Oil temp. 118°c
106.25 MPH. Water " 87/90°c
8 laps completed.

2nd Test.

Tyres pressure reduced to 50 lbs/sq" all round.

3rd Test.

Bonnet taken off for maximum ventilation.

4th Test.

Changed carburetter needles. LM.9 fitted.
Bonnet replaced.

Best lap speed 171.791 KPH.
106.72 MPH.
7 laps completed.

5th Test.

Cold air intake fitted with flexible tube with entrance at front, centre lamp removed and pipe open to air pressure. No air silencer. LM.2 needles. O.S. air scoop removed.
Best lap speed 176.416 KPH. (one lap only)
109.67 MPH.
174.404 KPH. 2 laps Oil 118°c
