Attached please find curves showing HP. obtained on the Dynamometer with various foreign cars. The Buick and Marmon tests were taken a considerable time ago. Since then we have decided to test all cars without Silencers. At the first opportunity we will repeat the test on the Marmon car; we think there must be some error, in the way the efficiency falls off at low speeds. This is possibly due to the carburetter or faulty ignition timing. The reason for the Buick HP. falling off rapidly at high speeds, is very possibly due to the Silencer. It will be seen that the power efficiency of the Marmon car is very good indeed. MADE AT CROXLEY Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} See original for curves | ||
