X200 Ser. Wdf. Afr. Er. Wr. -HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}- Mbr. EPG/14.1.23. re CHASSIS WEIGHTS. With reference to the above point, which was brought up at yesterday's conference, I am able to confirm my statement that the weight of the present 40/50 chassis is very little more than late pre-war chassis. The weight of a Post-war (thin leaf spring) chassis including water and oil, but without petrol, tyres or batteries, but otherwise complete with all electrical installation, averages 3114 Lbs. A pre-war chassis under similar conditions weighed 3095 Lbs. The present production chassis, with Hartford shock absorbers weighs approximately 3130 Lbs. WP. [STAMP: RECEIVED 5 JAN 1923] | ||
