If you are interested in this unit we will test it for overnight loss on a car with very volatile spirit. The tank requirements to allow this unit to work under the best conditions are as follows :- (1) The tank unit to be as near the centre of the tank as possible. (2) Sealed side filler no higher than the top of the tank. (3) The unit to be fitted as near a surging baffle as possible. This will promote the most vigorous pumping. (4) Messrs. Hobson say that the best fore and aft position of the tank unit is one quarter of the width of the tank from the leading edge. You will note that on the tank unit we are sending you :- (1) The sprengel pumping tubes pass direct to atmosphere. (2) The bell vent discharges horizontally through one of the holes in the top baffle compartment. (3) The venting arrangements are through - (a) The top plate (b) The first baffle (c) The second baffle. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/an. | ||
