Date: 3 March 1924 Sequence Starter Motor K from 9 Ex This is an old type motor without damper. It has been removed on disposal of the car & run 26,700 miles on the car. On examination the condition has been found to be generally good the brush faces and the commutator being excellent though a little greasy. A few of the brushes were somewhat tight in the holders Dust deposit was small. The bearings were good except for a certain amount of scoring in the driving end bearing. The armature and pole faces, the brush springs, and all steel bolts were rusty, this being a motor which failed owing to ingress of water in March last after 18000 miles.
