X6114 9.2.31. Extract from list of suggestions made to reduce the cost of the 25 HP. chassis. Magneto. X.6063. X6114 X.6095. As the magneto on the 20/25 is carried as a standby ignition only, and is not in regular use, it might be considered whether it is still desirable to fit it in view of the effort to get down the cost of this chassis. This would save : £6. 18. 0. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} will consider this question. It is suggested that we fit a telltale coloured light to indicate when battery ignition is left switched on with engine stopped, as is now common practice on cars in general. This will reduce the risk of running the battery down and may be a sufficiently good reason to omit the standby magneto ignition particularly if a spare coil is provided. | ||
