Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 17.5.38. --------- We know production cars are frequently heavier than Experimental cars of the same type, but we do not expect to find the average production Wraith will weigh as much as 3 Cwts more than the Experimental cars of the same type because Experimental Wraith cars have, to our knowledge, been more comprehensively equipped than previous Experimental cars. Production cars will certainly be somewhat roomier and our Standard Six-light Body will have built-in luggage space but we feel the room and built-in luggage accommodation are essential in the interests of sales. You will, we know, agree the time has arrived when we must give the public at least part of the facilities to be found on nearly all other cars for the protection of their reasonable luggage and, in addition, provide room for the comfortable accommodation of all the passengers the body is intended to seat.
